The Ship is in a pretty hamlet but it’s not cut off by any means. The main A19 trunk road comes (not too) close, so you’re well placed to explore the delights of County Durham and beyond. If you’re visiting on business, you’ll get out of the towns and cities and enjoy a beautiful drive through the countryside to reach us.
Using The Ship as your base, you can easily reach historic Durhap City; step back in time with a visit to the remarkable Beamish open air museum; visit the Historic Quay, Maritime Museum and marina at Hartlepool; unique shopping at the Metro Centre and of course golf courses, Premiership football and top class cricket are all right here on our doorstep.
